Starting off with some positive vibes :-) |
Hello guys,
Yet another day has come and gone but nevertheless not wasted at all.
Today I believe has been very crucial in bringing together all our team members.
We thought of being innovative in our approach to be able to share more of our adventures with you. Trying our best to bring something different to our blog, why not vlog about it right people?! An awesome video compilation of our day is coming up in the next few days. Our great Tsedzu is busy with editing at the moment. But fear not! We took a few pictures when the opportunity presented itself :-)
We hope you enjoy our little adventures of the day!

The team at work ; who said we cannot have a fun yet productive day at the same time ;-) |
Late last night, our motivator and energy booster, Bridget came up with a brilliant idea. Why not go sponsor hunting personally than wait for them to get back to us. The cons of emailing as a communication tool has over the past week or so been very stressful on us and slightly frustrating. However, this has also strengthen our will to push through and be successful in our endeavours even if it entails changing our tactics. But then again as all Entrepreneurs, we are always up for a good challenge and adapt to changes constantly. Despite our busy schedule with lectures, we have decided to give it a go to take on a little trip to Sponsor land.

Relationship goals and values we live by in our team |
It also provided us with a great opportunity to get to know each other better. We only met three weeks ago, yet the time spent together today has definitely been very beneficial to us as a team. And surprisingly enough, I also learn a new thing about myself. It turns out I am video shy and feel more comfortable being behind the screen and penning down my thoughts to you guys! Most certainly looking forward to get out of my comfort zone for the next coming vlogs. However, my other team members have done an excellent job at doing their best to share as much as possible with you all. Musa has demonstrated to us all that he is the jack of all trades coming up with unique and effective marketing strategies for our upcoming cake sales, a high interactive and dynamic approach towards front managers and being such a funny and entertaining guy.
Without revealing too much, we went to a few meat places, bakeries and other shops who would likely be interested in the student market. We experienced the "joy" of rejections, endless wait for speaking to managers as well as encounters with helpful people willing to contribute in whatever possible wear to support us towards reaching our goals. To make our business a success in the future, we took a risk and tried our best to put our limited time to good use. We went from normal university students to strategically browsing through to make the best possible deals. This has so far been such an interesting journey of self and team learning. Spending more time with those guys have enabled me to discover the richness that South Africa has to offer from a new and different perspective. As a team, we have learn the key quality which every individual ought to possess patience, determination and tolerance to make things happen.
So far, it has been one of the best learning journey I have personally embarked on and looking forward to make the most of it. In the upcoming vlog, I will be able to share more of this adventure. However for now, I leave you guys with this interesting article I have come across which sums up all the traits we as a team are doing our best to incorporate and to live by.
On a concluding note, I leave you guys on the wise words of the great Steve Job !
Yuvna
