Bringing creativity in our life

Hello folks ,

I am so eager to share with you all yet another very interesting day we had. Despite Wednesday being one of our busiest day of the week, it happens to be worth all the efforts of  waking up early morning. We had a very inspiring and fun workshop given by Charles Maisel who describes himself as a "social artist". The main objective of this workshop was to provide us with his guidance and knowledge on how to generate ideas.

Personally, it has been a very educational one and a half hour. I left this class with a completely different mindset. Having been accustomed to learning from textbooks my entire life, I was struggling to grasp this new concept of being given the opportunity to use my creativity and imagination to come up with ideas. The main tool used during this workshop was old newspapers. You must be asking yourself why a newspaper ?! What better way to identify the key issues that need to be addressed in your country than a newspaper! It has definitely changed the way I will look at pictures, read or listen to people from now on.
Ideas in progress

As a team, this workshop has allowed us to identify the right technique to adopt for generating ideas for our Genesis project. As such, we look forward to spending long hours of brainstorming for innovative ideas. It will definitely be very exciting to see what six entirely different people coming from different academic backgrounds and mindset can come up with as a team!

Below is an insightful YouTube video on the characteristics of an Entrepreneur possess, I have identified to many of those points illustrated , how about you?

“No man has the right to dictate what other men should perceive, create or produce, but all should be encouraged to reveal themselves, their perceptions and emotions, and to build confidence in the creative spirit.” - Ansel Adams

We had the delight to watch the documentary and bibliographical film on the great American photographer, Ansel Adams. It was a very insightful film which I believe will gain more perspective and be bene
ficial to each team members the older we get and the more exposed we are to upcoming challenges towards turning our passion and craft into ideas.

On another note, we are more motivated than ever to move forward and make the most of the upcoming cake sales. As a team, we have once again reviewed our strategies to make this event a success. We are learning how to cope with the stress of each team members and ourselves.  We nevertheless remain goal- oriented and positive in our next future endeavours .

That shall be all for today , thriving to be the best regardless of the bumps on the road!
